Editorial and data standards
Rules for sourcing, automated writing, uncertainty, commercial separation and corrections.
Primary sources first
Environmental facts must trace to public agencies or clearly identified primary datasets. Third-party articles can supply context but do not replace the record used for a number.
No synthetic observations
Production data may not contain preview, demo or invented values. Missing records are labeled unavailable. Stale observations must be labeled stale and retain their last observation date.
Describe the actual geography
A state is not a city, a reporting area is not an address and a weather station is not a house. Page language names the geographic unit represented by each field.
Deterministic summaries
City answer blocks are assembled directly from validated fields. They do not infer indoor hazards, health outcomes or property conditions.
Commercial separation
No retailer, product, price, affiliate relationship or purchase behavior influences the dataset or index. The separate Home Wellness page discloses the relationship with its recommended retailer.
Corrections
Material corrections are described publicly with date, affected release, error and resolution. The goal is not to look infallible; it is to make errors discoverable and repairable.
